Nice 18 in cottage country 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 18, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Location -> Like the Dad's of Muskoka, this course is one of a few up in this area and it's location near the highway makes it convenient

Fun -> Despite the poor rating, this course is a lot of fun with a great variety of forehand and backhand shots in a nice park setting

Well-designed -> great use of natural topography to maximize variety with plenty of breathing room

Cons:

Buggy

High grass -> I played with a buddy and we spotted most of the wholes, which was a good idea

No signage -> the lack of way-findings makes this course tricky to navigate, at least at first

Wonky hole or two -> a couple of the holes (#10 across a field of wheat? and one adjacent to a dog park) left me shaking my head

Other Thoughts:

This course deserves more players - some signage and maybe a design tweak or two would make it even better

Don't let the crappy score dissuade you - it's worth a visit :)

Evergreen Fields, Huntsville, ON 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 15, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

FUN! Lots of ACE potential. Short holes still have a tough, challenging, appropriate run to the pin. Nice tight fairways. Lots of shots types off the tee (straight, hyzers, turn overs, tight lines, open shots, thumbers, tomahawks)

Cons:

Short-ish. In spring, course is somewhat flooded, until July/Aug. Good spotting required if you get off fairway. Very few, if any rollers.

Other Thoughts:

Northern disc golf is alive & well...3 courses within 1 hour drive (South River, 30 minutes north and North Bay 45 minutes/1hr north!)
