Brand new wide open nine that's only a little bit more than nine baskets in a field (there's pretty good temporary signage and concrete tees are planned, so I guess that counts for something).
A good effort at trying to make a course out of a big field that has very few natural features to help out the design. During the summer, the grass is allowed to grow up high to shape a few fairways. There's a weed-filled ditch in front of a basket that's used as OB. There are a few "island greens" that depend on noticing where grass turns into weeds, and several holes are bordered by an OB cornfield.
Some long holes that are a bit mediated by generous pars (#1 is 568' flat par 4; #5 is an uphill 458' par 4; #9 is an uphill 635' par 5). The cleverest hole is the short (208') #4: throwing from a raised tee area, you're facing a narrow strip of green with the OB weed-filled pit in front and the OB cornfield behind. Fun trying to throw darts at the basket.
The nine is an incomplete loop that requires a fair amount of walking front he parking lot to #1, and back from #9.
As a first-time visitor who played it during the winter, many of the hole shapes are invisible if not imaginary. Designers had a lot of space but little else to work with here. Unless you're playing with a local familiar with the design intent, this is a bag-it-and-forget-it course.
