I'm not quite sure where to begin with this course, as it's something different than anything I've played. It's a 28 hole private course that's basically on the side of a mountain, and plays that way. Elevation is a constant factor. If there's a flat hole here, I sure as hell don't remember it.

My favorite thing about this course is it's eccentricities. It has some baskets, and some of them are in good shape. Some others, not so much. Also, you'll use old propane tanks as your target on a hole. About half the other holes are tonals of varying shape and form. You'll also find a couple robot art pieces (for lack of a better way of classification) that serve as your aiming point.

Plenty of heavy trees in your way. This is a private course, so some lines get very small during the right times of year.

Since you'll be with somebody that's played it before, navigation is no problem. Alone, it would be a nightmare.

Ace runs abound, especially with elevation factored in. Good luck hitting them, though...you'll pay dearly for your misses.

Even though there's no true "bomber" holes, you'll still be pulling out drivers several times to navigate the extremely steep terrain.

The tee pads are rough. They're a hodge-podge of different materials, and mostly pretty short. You kind of know what you're in for when you stop on hole 1's tee. We'll call it part of the allure, and leave it at that.

This is not a walk in the park. You'll want decent shoes (although we did play with a fella in flip flops...crazy bastard), some water and a good attitude.

Not cart friendly. Ha.

So if you can get an invite to leagues, or squirrel your way in somehow, this is a must play in the area, IMO. It's different, fun and in some cases, awe-inspiring. Make sure to take your shot (of whatever bottles are up there) at the top of the course, as to not offend the locals.

The roughest and most ragged super fun course I've probably ever played.
