Solid course for beginners 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 2, 2020 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- The course is a good place for beginners to get the hang of things and still play a good round.
- Concret tee pads and the course if well laid out making it easy to find the next tee
- Holes definitely favor those with a good forehand shot (good or bad depending on the person)
- Many baskets are shaded
- Fairway is well maintained

Cons:

- Walking path through some areas of the course. Occasionally people will walk through
- Once you get some basic concepts of the course, it's pretty straight forward with not a lot of difficulty
-

Other Thoughts:

Although there is technically a "back 9" to total 18 baskets. There are still only 9 baskets to play with. The back 9 tees can be difficult to find and are marked by a plank of wood sticking out of the ground

Freedom "IS" Free 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 3, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Clean, nine hole layout combines several ample drive opportunities through fields and several nice approach shots through tree hallways. Light Underbrush makes it easy to find discs. Light or no wait times.

Cons:

Limited obstacles. Poison Ivy everywhere if you throw an errant shot. 1st tee can be difficult to find. (Its behind the playground, south/south-east of the parking lot)

Other Thoughts:

I don't know what all the complaints about joggers are about. None of the holes played directly onto or over any jogging path. At two or three points the jogging path is used to travel between baskets but this proved no problem. I didn't find the local youth to be troublesome at all, in fact they're quite helpful if you need help locating a tee (especially the 1st)

Solid local 9, short but scenic. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Dec 5, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-Nice tee pads. Smooth grippy concrete.
-Well maintained clean fairways.
-Variety in shots, a few open, a few with some serious trees to bend around.
-Scenic in a suburban park sort of way.

Cons:

-Hole 5 appears to have had most of the obstacle trees of the right side of the fairway trimmed down. What appears on the map to be a fierce dogleg has an easy route straight to the basket over some low brush.
-No big distance.
-Navigation can be a little confusing with the missing signs. Not too bad, though.

Other Thoughts:

This course is nothing special but it has enough of everything to make it an enjoyable round. It's conveniently located near freeways and the outstanding Cass-Benton course. Quick enough and short enough to be played multiple times in a single visit, and enough variety in play to keep your interest.

Quick and Easy 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 10, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- Short holes, opportunity for aces abound
- Obvious fairways without many obstacles
- Easy course for beginners
- Outhouses available for use, and of course the rest of the park
- Hole numbers engrained on teepads, makes navigating a bit easier

Cons:

- Most of the signs have been taken or vandalised
- Bugs

Other Thoughts:

It's a short, easily navigated course that's fairly fun. There aren't many obstacles like hills, water, or trees, so the course is pretty bland.

Fun to try and get a few aces on open holes like 1, 3, and 4.

Pros:

Simple course with a few challenges. Nice when you don't have time for 18. Nice course to start out on. Good for practice.

Cons:

Turns into a total swamp after it rains and takes a while to dry up. bugs can be a bother.

New to the sport 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 25, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice course and good walking paths for the most part. nice short course

Cons:

We went early April so it was quite muddy. Hole 2 tees were completely under water. Vandals have the signs in shambles.

Other Thoughts:

We have only played a few times, so I don't have much to compare too.
