Lockland's Disc Golf 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 3, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Driving into park, look right at baseball field 1. Hole # 1 starts by baseball field # 1, 3rd base side and throws up hill towards houses. Hole 2 throws along road. To get to tee 3, you will need to walk along path about 200 yards. All the rest of the tees fall into place clockwise around walking path. The baskets are all Innova Discatchers, double chained. The tee boxes are dirt with wooden posts There are also red round signs in ground.

Cons:

Only real con is that course is in middle of park with 3 baseball fields, a playgound, a soccer field, and a walking path. There is also a skate board/ roller blade stunt path and a half court basketball court that aren't in the way.

Other Thoughts:

Nice course in the middle of the city. You can geta round or two in during lunch.

a good 9 hole 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 14, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

a well kept, 9 hole course in the middle of the park. This course is a good beginner and for has enough obstacle for advanced players as well. It has slight elevation changes, and enough trees in the way to keep it interesting.

Cons:

Not incredibly challenging, but not real easy either. Some people might not like that it sits in the middle of a park. there is a pathway for walkers in the way too, but not a big deal.

Other Thoughts:

A good 9 hole worth checking out.

Fun Active Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 23, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Course has convenient parking location as you can park and start on Hole 1 without having to walk far for 1st tee which is located next to Field 1 (All the baseball fields are numbered and Field 1 is the 1st field when entering Gardner Park) 3rd baseline. There are 2 restroom facilities too. The course takes you around the whole park and can be played in about 30 minutes if you're playing well. Great use of the land as there are elevation changes and Mill Creek is even brought into play.

Cons:

It's hard to find your way around as this is still a new course and hole info or tee pads are not up yet. They do have temporary Innova markers on the ground but they are hard to find as there isn't anything sticking up out of the ground marking where to tee off as of yet. Mulch pads will be coming soon from what I hear and having those will be very helpful!

Other Thoughts:

Skate Park is up and running down there too as of 06/23/11 which has a perfect setup for skaters. I haven't messed around down there yet but it will be done this week I imagine. There are 2 other ball fields which are rarely used and not in the way; same goes for the soccer field. As a Lockland resident it's rare to see anyone on the soccer field as they don't utilize that field for games. The walking path seems to have lead people to believe that there are a lot of walkers but again, as a Lockland resident, they are not really an issue as visibility is clear on every hole and you can see anyone who's walking. They have yet to hold a 5,000 people marathon so comments about "walkers" should be ignored. You will see "some" people but that's life:)

Nice Course for Quick Round 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 27, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice brand-new course in quiet local park. New baskets are top quality. Enough trees to provide some shade, scenery, and obstacles. Nice use of elevation and trees to make a small course more difficult. Each hole felt like it was well thought-out. Great place to play a quick 9....two of us played this course in about 12-15 minutes over lunch.

Cons:

Tees are grass and currently hard to find. Will be easier to find once they get worn in a bit, but they will remain slippery until a better surface is put in place. I have heard rumors that they will be adding mulch. While this is not great, it is better than slippery grass. While course has about 4 legit par fours (holes 3, 6, 9) all of the rest can be played as par 2. An expert player could play 7 as a par 1. You literally just toss a soft hyzer around the tree and hope you aced it.

Other Thoughts:

All in all a very enjoyable course for a quick round. More fun and less crowded than most Cincinnati short courses if you want to take a few minutes to work on your short game. Although not an issue at lunch time I can definitely see how there could be major problems if the baseball fields, soccer fields, and jogging path are in use. All three are in play frequently. Last thought - watch out for Mill Creek on holes 6-9 (especially #6 approach). When I was there it looked like anything unfortunate enough to make it in the creek would be long gone.
