Classic Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 12, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Solid and well seasoned course. With plenty of challanging shots but not too difficult for beginers. This course really makes you play harder. The bonus letter holes in the woods make for an interesting game. Benches, signs, trash cans, score cards and all that provided.

Cons:

Can be a B***h to find if youre not familiar with the neighborhood. The park is shared by alot of non disc-golf activity: dog walkers, picknickers, so always be mindful of where youre throwing here.

Other Thoughts:

If you live in Alabama you must play here at least once. Historic disc golf course!!

Best one I've been to 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 22, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

Lots of variety. Well maintained. I beat Johnny G and the rest in our group.

Cons:

It was crowed, but I was playing on a Saturday afternoon.

Other Thoughts:

If you get a map from Google maps to the coordinated for this course, it will take you to a dead end next to the park. Enter the park through the main entrance.

Love It! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 24, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

Beautiful mix of open and wooded holes. The extra 6 are particularly wooded. Nice changes in elevation, as well. Very well maintained by both the city and the local club, Disc Golf Birmingham (DGB).

Cons:

Located near some busy roads and sometimes has interference from the nearby softball fields and pavilion. Also experiences some late night traffic customary of a city park.

Other Thoughts:

I may be biased as this is my home course, but this is definitely one of the top courses in Alabama. A beautiful, beautiful course. I love it!
