Pros:
Cleaned up holes A-G which makes the long tee difficulty very 'reasonable'. Very scenic with a wide variety of required technical shots. Tunnel, woods, open, etc. The course has held Women's pro tourneys and rightly so. The park maintains the course very well. Overall, the course has great character but you have to play it a few times to get the feel.
Cons:
I wish I didn't live 45 minutes from the course! I would choose this course over Hoover any day.
Concrete tee pads would be nice on holes A-G but not a big deal or detraction
Other Thoughts:
Long tees are very doable for players who can throw 300' or have a rating of around 870+. This course deserves no less than 4 stars. People forget courses are maintained by the state or local government and they have limited $ to spend. Volunteers to help maintain the course are a +. Players aren't charged to play so expecting perfect course conditions is unreasonable folks.
