Gunks Disc Golf drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 10, 2022 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-Tough but fun wooded course, mostly par 3s with three updated par 4's

- circle 1 is layed out with tassels, and tee boxes are maintained if they're gravel, with currently 10 tee pads in concrete

-a short tee layout is being tested, as the course is do-able for beginners, yet could be frustrating, i believe what i have seen from the short tees they're placed quite well.

-Beautiful views on the final three holes, and the high grassy area that "plagued" the middle area has been recessed, making wonky drives to the left side findable.

-Easy parking with a short walk to hole 1, and a nice practice putt area. Hole 1 always sticks out in my mind because its such a fun ace run 1st hole, and tapping band on the first hole is always such a fun experience.

-Finally, playing through 13 sneaky wooded holes brings you to hole 14, a swooping left shot perfect for your distance driver to come out and not hit a tree and bomb it. Its the layout of the holes for me.

Cons:

-not a lot of shot diversity. Its tee off straight and hope you dont snag that last tree. and if you do, a light forehand or backhand to settle you under the basket.

Other Thoughts:

- see *hole 5* while not a bad hole, it is frustrating to find a line that is consistent, and while your second shot could be amazing, its the tee shot that makes it tough. This is not a Con however, the simple difficulty of this hole makes me come back to this course because when i have hit that line, there isnt much that feels as good

-Dont expect to play under par your first time playing, or your 7th, its definitly a play for par course.
