Once was enough for me. 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 18, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

The two big pros that I can think of are:

a) Variety of interesting shots. There's the signature #2 over the pond, #6 plays with the canal on the right, thick woods on the left forcing a straight but long shot, #3 is a very tight tunnel shot, and there's several long and open holes. Variety is not something that's missing here.

b) Many other courses in the area very easily reachable by public transportation. This is Germany's densest region of disc golf as it offers about 10 courses within 40 miles or so. None of the courses I played completely blew me away, so this is more of a quantity over quality area for DG, which is great for beginners and expanding the sport.

Cons:

a) Very crazy to try to navigate. You absolutely, definitely, and without a doubt need to PRINT A MAP! There's no way of navigating without one. The tees aren't numbered (and are hard to find) and there's no tee signs. The only thing that helps you move in the right direction are the Baskets which will have Hole # on them. For example, Hole 9/10. But even with the map, navigating here is a nightmare (check it out in the Links/Files section if you want to see what I mean).

b) Crisscrossing fairways like whoa. You can forget about playing a tournament here because basically every fairway crosses every other fairway. It's not that extreme, but it's the worst I've ever played.

Other Thoughts:

I played here once and decided it wasn't worth playing another round. I would advise avoiding this course on your journeys, but if you're stuck in the area (and have a map of the course), check it out and see what you think.
