Pros:

The course is set up on the lawn south of the campus. The baskets are Mach 3's that were all in great shape and caught fine. These have the hole numbers on the top which help you tell what basket to throw at. The flow from hole to hole is pretty simple once you find hole 1. A bit tricky for holes 8 and 9 but with either the map on DGCR or UDisc it's not a problem. The course was in great shape (mowed) when we played in early November. The course will probably never really be busy, if at all. The wind will be your primary challenge here since the course is pretty wide open in most places. There are some trees smattered throughout to add a little bit more of a challenge on a couple holes.

Cons:

Where to start? The goose poop is obnoxious. It is literally everywhere here. You can't avoid it unless there's snow on the ground. Not a design flaw but annoying nonetheless. There are no tee signs or pads. Again not a big deal really for what this course is. But you will need a map if you've never played here before or else it's just basically going to be a safari round for you. It says on here that you need to check in at the front desk to register your vehicle. We did not and had no problems, but it was a Sunday. So I can't really tell you about this. Hole 9 is just a joke. All this open space and this is what you come up with. What a dud to end a round. I mean there is a couple hundred feet of unused space east of hole 1's "tee" and 8's basket. Just not the most well thought out design I'd say.

Other Thoughts:

You can do worse than this course for sure. However you can also do much better. And also very nearby. Twin cities disc golf is just next level compared to anywhere I've been so far. This course is more in line with what most of us are probably used to. It's nine numbered baskets in a field. If you have to play them all like me then by all means have at it here. If you want a fun round just look, literally in any direction, and you'll find something better within a few minutes.
