Fun spin in the hills. 2+ years

Pros:

9 hole course set up in a multi-use, old school park. Children's play areas and other activities available. Nice permanent bathroom structure.

Good signs, with hole layout (in picture format), distance, etc. They made the navigation easy, and helped to find the corresponding basket for each hole.

Nice DGA baskets, powder coated orange and easy to find. Mounted well, and caught well. Hole 2 has a nice elevated placement.

Most of the course plays on a hillside, which helps to add some strategy. Hole 1 is a really nice starting hole, 345' and downhill.

A few spots of mature trees add some extra challenge.

A decent amount of distance for a city park, especially when you factor in the elevation changes.

Cons:

Bad rubber tee pads. They're short, they're smooth and slick, and they're just not good. They would have been far better off just leaving it as natural tees. I did my throwing off to the side.

A lot of the course is pretty open. Not unusual for a small city park.

A couple spots where you may need to look out for people. Hole 6 is a blind-ish shot over a walking path, and hole 9 could easily have people around it.

Other Thoughts:

All in all, it's a decent little course in a super small town. If you're coming in from the west, I highly recommend the drive on Hwy FF from Wonewoc...simply awesome curvy road.

Not a bad spot to stop for a round on your way to Justin Trails, but other than that, not really worth going out of your way for.
