Cute Little Employee Course! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 31, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

HP East Park is small park especially designated for the employees of Hewlett Packard. The pretty little park has a small pond, picnic pavilion area and a walking/jogging path which flows through the park.
The little six hole course starts behind the pavilion and completes a circle around the pond. The baskets are single chain, temporary type Discatcher models which are chained down to a small round slab of concrete. The tee pads are simply two patio blocks set in the lush green grass here. There are no signs. The course is just an easy little Pitch & Putt. Most holes are around 150' and might require a little hyzer, nothing too difficult.

I had the course to myself. There were plenty of maintenance men working everywhere and a few walkers-joggers passed by. The employee parking lot across the street is large and provides ample parking.

Cons:

It's a short Pitch & Putt. Very little challenge.
Only 6 holes.
Course is not open to the public (well maybe?)
I couldn't find the pad for # 4.
No signs means you have to figure out the layout.

Other Thoughts:

There was no guard or station at the entrance off 5 Mile Drive. I simply drove in and parked, walked across the street and played. With that being said, I doubt if this little course is worth sneaking onto to unless you are a serious course bagger. Since it plays in 15 minutes, offers very little challenge, and is private, unless you're bringing children or a complete newbie, I would recommend skipping this course. Drive over to Nampa. They have a nice variety of beginner type courses.

It has baskets.. 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Very nice park, good course for beginners.. kinda (water), private and peaceful.

Cons:

Went with some family members who had never played before. There were no course signs, no tee pads, and only 5 not 6 baskets. Geese everywhere with their expected droppings. As a DG player, just having baskets doesn't make a course good. HP can afford to put in tee signs!

Other Thoughts:

If you can get a course map it would be a fun course.
