Pros:

1. Only Disc Golf Course in 150 miles!
2. Great for practicing accuracy and switching between forehand and backhand.
3. Challenging, but definitely not another "chuck it as far as you can, then pick it up and do it again" kind of course. The longest hole is 451', and all of them use the narrow corridor and the existing trees to good effect.

Cons:

1. If you're new, or its windy, you probably want to stick to the front 9. The back 9 gets narrower at the same time the holes get longer, and there are several businesses along one side that will not give discs back, while on the other side there is a river that will not give discs back.
2. Gravel tees on about a third of the holes bring in some nice variety... but are honestly worse than just throwing off of grass would be a lot of the time. The Disc Golf Club is working on getting some concrete ones installed for the holes that don't throw off of the jogging path.
3. Can be quite windy in the afternoon, although at least it's fairly consistent (Eastward wind, straight down the river corridor)
4. Trash and the loiterers producing it are an issue. We all try to pick up some beer cans and such as we play, but it feels fairly insurmountable at times.

Other Thoughts:

Finding a bit more space so we didn't have to reuse baskets would be great, but unless and until we can get the city to beat the willows and russian olives back to the river's edge, this is where we're at!
