Pros:
-Lots of garbage cans and the grounds are clean of trash
-Small shop located in the general store on site.
-Most baskets are new, clean and visible.
-While the vast majority of the holes are very short, this is a great course to improve midrange driving and approach shots.
-Several holes will prove a little challenging because the basket is situated on a hillside, downhill from the tee (requiring a careful approach or well planned drive).
Cons:
- The course is jumbled and lacks clear signage
-Several holes intersect, with fairways crossing a small field from different angles; players have to throw around a picnic area from at least three different holes. Another hole runs behind the target wall of an archery range.
-Tee pads are dirt/mud (depending upon the season), marked with an angled, wooden tee-line embedded in the dirt
-Grounds maintenance projects frequently re-route/close one or more holes at a time.
Other Thoughts:
Camping/hotels available in Squaw Valley, Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon National Park, or Wilsonia, Grant Grove or Cedar Grove. Anything "nearby" will be at least a 30 minute drive. Gas facilities on site during peak season (April-October). No cell reception. Nearest services (Gas, food, etc.) aside from the immediate location are 30 miles away.
