Solid, if Unremarkable

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 12, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nothing bad, a few good holes in the woods but mostly short, flat and pretty dull. The park is mowed, the baskets and tees are good, the signage is spotty and uDisc navigation helps a lot.

+ The turf tees are flat and level, most of them mounted on gravel beds. The Latitude Pro baskets are in great shape

+ The course begins and finishes with open park holes, but there are some nicely wooded ones once you reach #9. There are a few long tee options to add some variety for multiple plays

Cons:

- Good wooden tee signs, but they're spotty at first, and go entirely missing after #8. Wooden directional arrows hanging off the baskets are mostly broken.

- The layout crosses over itself midway through. There are a few navigation aids to keep you on track, but uDisc is a big help to keep you from wandering around. The course ultimately loops back to the parking lot, but here are some long transitions to make it work (11-12 across a deserted town lot, 14-15 around a lake, and 15-16 through a picnic area).

Other Thoughts:

~ Water is listed on a handful of holes, but I don't think it comes into play except for a few spots (#13 has water behind the basket, but there's woods and a berm in the way; #14 has a creek alongside left, but you'll need a pretty bad tree kick to get down there)

~ Lost disc box, bathrooms on site, plenty of parking. Other than a tennis court forcing a mando on #1 and a ballfield on the left of #18, the park facilities don't interfere much with the layout

~ I've run across these Latitude Pro baskets more recently and have come to like them. They catch fine, they're almost as visible as DisCatchers, and the chastity belt is thinner than other models - meaning, less "clank" misses

~ It's a decent park course with some very good holes. It's too bad that the signage and navigation hasn't been kept up. It probably felt a lot better when it was new in 2021
