Pros:
-Ixonia Fireman's Park is a short school course set in annoying scrubby, knee to waist high schule consisting of prairie and some scattered pines.
- Narrow and tight and not much fun for beginners. At least in the summer months; a few of the wooded lanes need trimming to be fair for this sort of course. Otherwise it's a hassle to find anything even a foot off the 6' wide, narrow fairways.
- Signage with map at #1, flow is pretty intuitive, signage is sufficient to find your way around. Grass was mowed, bathrooms, playground, concession stand nearby.
Cons:
- Just too darn thick off the too narrow fairways.
- Just 4x4s for tee signage, the actual teesigns are all long gone, though this doesn't really affect much.
Other Thoughts:
-Pretty standard school niner, only of the rougher-around-the edges variety.
- A few bits of elevation try to save the day here, but in the end, can't "elevate" this course's rating.
