This park is a very nice well kept park. There is a pretty lake on the east side of the park and a lot of people fish there. This is classic par 54 golf.

2 sets of nice concrete tees with a lot of variety. This course is a very beginner friendly.

There are a few places where water and rough come into play.

The disc golf course has great equipment and facilities.

Restrooms and pavillion near tee 1 & 9.

Tee signs with accurate distances.

Chainstar baskets are one of my favorite baskets.

There are nice sized cement tee pads for both short & long tee pads.

It's pretty easy to navigate.

Tee signs are basic with only the distance. No description of the hole.

This course is very short and lacks true challenge to warrent a higher rating.

The local club is very active. Post on the forum to find a playing partner.

It's about 10 minutes off I88. Make it a good day of golf and play Oswego as well.

Drop off your wife or girlfriend at the outlet mall at the Farnsworth exit and play all day.

Short and long tees. Long tees provide some really challenging shots. Not a super long course, but it does give the opportunity for alot of different shots including rollers, overhand shots, forehand skips, over the top hyzers, and sky anhyzers. A little bit of water comes into play as well. A fun mix for a par 54 course.

Not alot of trouble out there. Short tees are super easy and short. Long tees still are not very long. Not many opportunites to let it loose. Not what you'd consider a really challenging course.

One of the most fun courses in the Chicagoland area. Worth the trip out here if your in the area!

This course offers a nice mix of shots including open and techinal. Plays along a creek and comes into play on # 10's long tee. Tee pads are nice and the course is fairly easy to navigate. Grass was well kept. I liked the practice basket in the middle of the parking lot to warm up at.

Some tall, thick weeds make it hard to find errant discs. Place is crowded on the weekends, Hard to play. Half the course was flooded the first time I played there, not sure how often this happens.

All in all a average course in my opinion. Liked the views and locals seemed nice. I would not come back here on the weekends myself just to avoid the everyday park people as they seem to have no regard for disc golfers.

The course plays through a mostly flat park with a couple small hills. The majority of the course is nicely manicured grass with various densities of mature trees and some areas of tall grass or brush. A lake comes into play on a couple holes to eat errant drives, and a creek is in play on a couple others to add a little extra risk/reward challenge.

Most of the holes are shorter, and call for accuracy over distance, though a couple holes leave room to open up a little. There are definitely some ace runs here, along with some holes that present a little more challenge.

There are two nice concrete tees on each hole, most of which change the hole quite a bit. The longs add a good amount of length on the more open holes, and require more accuracy on the shorter holes. If you play both sets of tees, you'll use a nice mix of different kinds of shots to score well. There is a post with hole distances for both sets of tees at each hole.

This course doesn't offer a ton of challenge, especially from the short tees. If you play competitively here, you'll quickly get into a "deuce or die" mentality, which takes away some of the fun. For a RHBH player, the shorts seem very hyzer heavy, and the longs seem very anhyzer heavy.

Even the more technical holes here offer wide fairways, and multiple routes to the basket. Most holes don't punish errant drives, and make it pretty easy to make up for poor tee shots. Many of the long tees seem to be in or near other fairways which is a little bit of a safety hazard on busy days. A few holes play too near the parking lot and park road, meaning that there is often waiting for cars to pass on these holes.

In a couple spots on the course, navigation is not immediately obvious, especially between the two halves of the course, and to get to the long tee for 14 (on the far side of the tall grass from the short tee). There are lots of new players here, though most seemed receptive to suggestions about etiquette. On a weekend or summer afternoon expect to be stuck behind large groups occasionally.

This is a great course to take a beginner to. Inaccurate shots won't usually be punished, and there are limited opportunities to lose a disc here. More experienced players will find the course fun, but not very challenging, though the longs offer a little more difficulty than the shorts.

This course is a great place to play a quick round or bring newer players. If you're in the area this course is worth a stop as long as you don't mind waiting on large groups once in a while. This course paired with the course in Oswego make a nice day of discing.

a good enough course to hit up on a nice day for a few rounds, but can get boring after a time. cops are fussy about drinking on the course, unlike some of the other courses in the area.

The longs play very nice and add a lot of challenge to the course.

Located in a nice park with a nice view of a lake.

Moderately wooded throughout with some varied shot selection.

No signs, just a wooden post with yardage marked. Holes are usually in view but i still like signs on holes.

Seemed kind of bland with only a few trees on most holes in the back 9 that don't really get in the way.

Mostly flat with little punishment for poor throws.

Some holes border the entrance/exit road. Also a bit confusing on where some holes were and where to go next.

Holes were not marked or mapped very well, a lot of holes seemed really short and you could get away with inaccurate throws.

I was expecting more from this course, it was just average for me but if you are going to the Oswego course this is close enough to go to as well. I think it is more like a Madison Meadows type course. Yeah it has 18 holes, but the challenge for me just wasn't there.

The park is open from sun up till sun down. This course has two sets of concrete tees for every hole. It also has a tee sign for every hole with distances for both sets, however they are placed at the short tees and not necissarily viewable from the longs. Fortunately, almost every hole is right in view fro the tee pad.
The course is pretty well maintained with a pavilion and restrooms. It also has some water on the course including a stream that wanders through it and a lake that comes into play on a few holes. The cousre has some trees and uses them well.
This course is great for the beginning player. It provides a fun round from the shorts and is open enough to allow some "not so perfect" shots to still have the ability to allow for good scores. The longs are enough of a different course to provide a challenge for everyone as well.

One major con to the course is drainage. After periods of rain, some of the course floods, including holes 2,3,4, 17, and 18. There have been instances where these holes did not dry out for more than a week at a time.
As stated before, the tee signs do not show the hole itself, and provide only distances. They are also located at the short tees and some of the longs are out of view from the short tee areas. there is also a lack of trash receptacles at the course, which has led to tere being litter at the course at times. If you are going, please bring a small bag to put any trash in during your round!

Definately worth the trip if you are headed this way. However, not the most challenging course from the shorts. Great course to bring the family/ friends out to enjoy the scenery, and have fun.

What I personally like and how this course stacks up:
1) Holes with good risk/reward. Fair, but harsh punishment for bad decisions or execution. == B-
2) Holes that have rewarding birdie opportunities for me. I throw 300' accurately, 360' max. == B+
3) More wooded than open - lots of variety of shots required caused by hole shape and topography == B+
4) Natural beauty (Appalachian beauty preferred) and seclusion. == B
5) Bonus points for multi-shot holes with defined landing zones, good risk/reward and multiple options to play them. == N/A

It's all about feeding the addiction, so I ranked this course subjectively based on my own "personal addiction factor". The grades above tell how well the course will draw me back to itself again and again and again. Since I have played a decent number of courses (125 18-hole, 64 9-hole as of mid 2009), my hope is that players/explorers who have similar addiction tastes will find my ratings list helpful as they choose courses to play and explore.

Over time, I expect to fill some of my reviews in with more descriptive verbiage...if what I can add anything to what has already been written. For now, my list is more important to me than the verbiage of my reviews.

I really enjoy playing this course. One of the first courses I played when I first started, it was fun to come back a few years later after improving and replay. Concrete tees and well marked footages make it easy to follow the flow of the course. Just the right mix of longer holes and shorter technical holes keep a variety of shots in play. The only downside is that the back 9 was flooded when we played, and the park district stopped mowing the fairways for 17 and 18 due to standing water making the round unfinished. I would recommend the course to anyone in the area looking for a good course to play.

Located in a pretty park next to a lake this course offers a good range of challenging shots. Two concrete tee locations. Good mix up of long and short shots with little trees or bushes in the way which allows you to really air it out on some holes.

Can be difficult to navigate especially with two tee pad locations with each hole. Can be a little flood after rain. Water comes into play if you have trouble with depth and throwing straight. I wish there were more shots over water.

This can be a very fun course, but it also has the potential to ruin a day. I would suggest going to a smaller course if you are a beginner. Overall this course is a fun intermediate course which I would definitely suggest to play. If you plan on playing the Oswego course I would leave enough time, because Jericho can take a while to play.

Good scenery, very easy to follow, has longer holes which I prefer, and multiple tee pads for each hole.

Went a few days ago (March) and the course was majorly flooded. Had to skip a few holes because of it.

I'd wait until it's dry outside in the summer to head to this course.

Fun course especially if you're just starting. Park is nice and well maintained. Good use of trees on a few holes. Good chance for an ace, although I can't seem to ever hit one!

Park doesn't hold up well when it rains. That's putting it rather nicely. Hole 17 is always a flood. I prefer wooded courses.

I do love the course, but would not put it next to Oswego or Summit on the top 5 list. It's worth playing a round though. Lots of garbage cans which is very cool- it's too bad some people aren't smart enough to know what they are for!

Very nice concrete tees, two per hole. Course is very pretty, being right on Jericho Lake and a creek. Holes flowed very well into one another, the course certainly didn't feel contrived. A very nice use of space. Some longer holes, some tighter holes with good obstacles - very good variety on this course.

I'll also say that the course doesn't hold up very well any time around a rain, which is understandable. Course may be a bit tough to navigate your first time around, but luckily, one of the local players was nice enough to give us a hand. We had a player in our group lose a disc in that creek - there was no way we were getting that back. Elevation was pretty level, not a lot of changes. Some holes on the first 9 played a bit close to the road entering the course. A little busy, but not too bad. I can imagine this course getting pretty packed, and I know they play tournaments here pretty regularly.

I liked this course quite a bit. Having to compare it to Oswego, which we played the same day, I'd have to give the edge to Oswego. However, this is a very fun course to play. Just be careful for the bodies of water and the roads and you should be fine. Aurora and Oswego are so close to each other, that you'd have to check both courses out in a day. Very convenient for a fun day of disc golf!

Great concrete tees. Good course flow that's easy to follow. Made good use of trees as obstacles. Very diverse group of all ages that plays at the course.

Played after a rain and the grass was a bit soggy. Not a lot of geographic variety

There are all kinds of challenging shots on this course. Two tee pads for each hole, long and short. Very easy to tell the two courses apart. Each hole's placement had thought put into it. Plays next to a very nice lake.

Although, I played during a tournament, I assume it gets very crowded at this course because Aurora is the second largest city in Illinois (I think). There are multiple hazards, one being the lake and the other being the creek/river. There is a good chance that you will not be able to locate a lost disc in these water hazards. You should probably bring a map just to be safe.

It is hard for me to express why I am only giving this course a rating of three. It seemed to have all the components of a good course, yet it didn't resinate with me. After you are done playing, you probably wont say to yourself, "man, that was a great course." But we all have different opinions so who knows.

Very beautiful scenery next to the lake and creek (which only really comes into play on one hole). Very well maintained. Multiple tee pads for every hole. Nice little pavilion near hole 1. The description says it is wooded but there's really no woods. The course is mostly open with a few trees in the fairways and some guarding the baskets.

This course doesn't do well after a rain. At least 3 holes flood very badly. It's very easy from the short pads (most holes are ace runs and all are birdie-able). The long pads add a bit more challenge but is still a pitch and putt course, with the exception of 3 or 4 holes.

This is a very enjoyable course if you're looking for a relaxing round of golf. I would stay away after a hard rain though.
