Nice Technical Park Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 10, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Easy to navigate short course with well thought out technical holes.
Great place to try new discs or shots, very difficult to loose a disc except for hole 5 which shoots across the creek but even that is wadeable 90% of the time.
Good variety of shots and shot choices.

Cons:

Tee Pads!... there are non. Some nice cement pads would be easy to install (could drive to each tee box) and make this course so much better.

The course is getting more play and the tee boxes are starting to look like holes in the ground. Tee 2 has a couple exposed roots now that are right where you want to be. Tees 3 and 4 are often are slick even if the course is dry which is a problem since both are intended to be anhyzer shots. Tee 8 is generally dry but be careful in the fall due to acorns, I have seen them put more than one player to the ground haha.

Other Thoughts:

I play this course a couple of times a week (3-4 rounds at a time) because it is close to home and fun for kids, beginners, and more advanced players to all play together.
Also, a great course to play putter only and really hone in your technique for more experienced players.

A great 9 hole course! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 4, 2014 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

A beautiful park with old trees and very well-kept fairways. The baskets are all new DGA, the tee areas are ok so far, and the signs are very nice. It helps that all the signs are facing so that when you read them you are looking down the fairway for the hole. The lines are tough but fair, and use the trees very well even on the shorter holes.

Cons:

The tee signs are engraved silver, so they are hard to read until you get up close, navigation isn't a problem though, if you see a tee sign that will be your next hole (with the exception of hole 5, which you backtrack a little to throw over the water).

Other Thoughts:

For a 9 hole course this one is very nice, it is not a "9 under" easy pitch and putt and you may expect, but it is accessible to a wide range of players and I really enjoyed playing it for the first time. There are other park pathways, benches, pavilions, but the course layout and a little common sense on the golfer's part will keep everyone safe. Thanks to everyone who helped out and made this course a reality.
