A Hike thru MN woods with a round of disc added 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Nov 2, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- Crazy challenging
- Consistent cement pads
- Good shot placement required for a good score
- Excellent shot variety
- Very scenic
- Multiple Pins (layout changed regularly)
- Get the birdies at every opportunity
- Rough can be very penalizing
- Picnic benches and trash cans throughout
- Fun hike
- Practice Basket
- Large mature trees and woods
- Lots of memorable holes

Cons:

- In a few spots it can be difficult to tell which path to take to the next hole. Some adventuring may be required for 1st timers.
- I think its hole 22 that the tee aims in the wrong direction from the basket.

Other Thoughts:

If you're feeling up to the challenge come test yourself here. Get those first few birdies early and hold on. Birdies may not come often and bogeys can sneak up on you. Although its hard its fun to play. Just don't worry if things don't go well.
Dogs are allowed and owners are responsible for the most part.

Favorite Hole #18 - A slight downhill 250'ish shot to a basket only a couple feet from a small creek on the right. The grass fairway is narrow with valley walls climbing up the sides. Play the asphalt walking path as OB to provide a real challenge.

Pros:

this course is similar to oakwood it begins with some pretty open shooting but when you get to about 6 or 7 the holes lead into very thick trees. all the holes have a different variety of landscaping and pin placements. i also like that they have ending machines, but if you come to Minnesota this is one of the courses you need to play its very fun and challenging course.

Cons:

they could use a little information about the pars. sometimes crowded because its a very good course that lots of people go to so on the nice summer days get ready to wait for you tee time.

Other Thoughts:

very easy to find also has many other activities in the park for children and picnic area.
