Pros:

Disc golf signs pointing you to the disc golf parking area. Practice basket near parking lot to warm up. Nice new looking tee signs with distance and basket placement marked by a bolt for which pin the current location is. Good mix of technical wooded shots and open driver holes. Good mix of left/right and straight pin placements. Couple par 4s on backside to open up your arm on and hole 12 USA really cool island type hole over the lake. This course offers a great variety with mini elevation on couple holes and great distance mix going in and out of the woods. There not any holes I really dislike here, and the wooded ones have great lanes and the par 4s are good as well. Arrows on bottom of the basket showing direction to next tee. Numbers are engraved in the tee pad as well to help you.

Cons:

Might have a hard time navigating if new. Go right of practice basket for hole 1 then take another right to get to hole 2 after that navigation gets easier. Hole 8s basket is pretty bent and probably could use replacing. Hole 5 dosen't have a tee sign. Ivy can get pretty thick here, and part of the year the course floods. In the summer months the fairways can become overgrown and you might spend time looking for disc spotters are a good idea

Other Thoughts:

One of the more underrated courses in the salem area. Maybe not good for newer players and looking for disc can be frustrating but if hit the right time of the year more advance players will really enjoy this course. Every hole can be birdied but every hole can also be bogied making for some entertaining rounds hit your lines you can do well. Great spot to come and play

Wonderful little course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 7, 2015 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

- Beautiful course to play. Through the trees you feel you are out in the woods playing disc golf. At sunset the open goes are gorgeous.
- There is a line for each hole, but you will have to work for it.
- Nice baskets.
- Poison oak has been marked with bright paint.
- Quiet, not many people.
- Nice mix of forehand vs. backhand holes, and many where both are a solid option.
- Challenges your aim quite often.

Cons:

- Signage could be improved, but it looked to us like that is being worked on.

Other Thoughts:

This is going to turn into a regular weekend course for me. With a few more signs and a weed puller for the poison oak this course will be a dream!

Best in Salem 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 12, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Nice trails.
Good mix of short/long and technical/power throws.
Great aesthetics... Backwoods feel yet 5 minutes out of town.

Cons:

Still in development process.
Sometimes hard to see where disc lands.

Other Thoughts:

Technical course not ideal for first timers. However, beginners should do fine with a spotter.
