Other Thoughts:
Kupuohi Park hosts a good DG course in Waipahu, Hawaii, about a 20 minute drive from the Honolulu Airport on Oahu. To be fair, a large part of the better rating here is the fact that you're playing disc golf in Hawaii. There are some nice views, especially from #4 and #6 and along #7. These give you views back toward Honolulu from a nice ridge. The DG itself...it's a park style course. There are dirt tees and average baskets that have seen better days. In any other locale, I'd probably give this course a 2.0, but it was the lone course I found on Oahu that is free and did not need special access to a military base. It checked a box for me of playing in Hawaii. The scenery, locale and accessibility made it work. As stated before, there is really no parking on site, we parked at the WalMart and walked up the hill. Get your drinks and a pit stop before you go. The play was OK, some elevation and some trees, but overall, YOU'RE PLAYING DISC GOLF IN HAWAII! Might try the local country club, if I ever make it back to the island, but if you're there, this is the free, unrestricted place to check Hawaii off your list.
