Could use some TLC 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 27, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Dual tees (3rd set coming?)Dual basketsGreat mix of hole shapesLove that the front and back nine both start and finish near the parking lot.

Cons:

A few really big walks between holes.Too many baskets missing arrow to next hole.Too many missing tee signsWould like to see a trash can per nine if not 2. Just helps prevent litter.Dual baskets

Other Thoughts:

I think it's great that 1 course offers 72+ holes but I could see this getting crowded. Personally, I would swap the front and back nine's. The walk from 1 basket to 2 tee with the minimal markings available had me thinking I missed where I was supposed to be going.I could tell there was thought beyond disc golf as it never felt like I was throwing in a "bad direction" (toward other activities in the park).Overall, fun course and I'm looking forward to going back.

Accidental Ace 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 12, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

nice space for disc course. Back nine even more attractive than front.
Mature trees , beautiful park.
Multiple baskets - good, long holes

Cons:

need better signage. Difficult to locate baskets and next holes.
Need to space baskets away from each other.
I mistakenly aced # 15 red. Was going for yellow basket and did not see red basket. Threw a nice shot and heard CHING too early.
Spacing between holes too long.

Best course out of the Lake County courses 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 10, 2018 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Easy to find
mix of wooded and open with a variety of shot options
back hand or forehand options with low ceilings. rollers dream when grass is cut.
great mix of par 3s, 4s, and 5s
only a few short holes to get those birds the rest of the course makes you work really hard to get a good score.
Nice concrete tees and brand new baskets.

Cons:

Fairways border one another a lot making errant shots dangerous. I was almost hit twice by two other groups playing on two different times I have played here. This issue is still not addressed. If anything it has gotten worse with the addition of two baskets per hole.

Very low tree canopy making it hard to get the shot you want. The low canopy punishes a great drive a lot of times.

Lots of traffic from people on walking trails and non disc golfers, need to be careful when throwing.

Grass and maintenance seems to be an issue as 3 out of the 5 times I have played here the grass is about a foot or two high on open holes making it hard to find your disc.

The addition of two baskets per hole is a nice though but more of a pain in the butt as many red baskets are in the way of the yellow baskets.

Other Thoughts:

Trim up some of the lower tree canopy on the longer holes. Such as the par 4s and 5s to allow for a chance to get out into some of the fields.

The tee signs can be lacking or confusing as many have sharpie marks and distances. need new cleaner tee signs.

This course could be a 4 or a 5 with some benches added to the blue tees, bag hangers and better tee signs. On the wooded holes a broom next to a tee pad goes a long way.

Need better directions to where the starting hole is can be confusing for first time players.

Look forward to seeing this course grow but my review of 3 stays with the issues the course still has.
