Pros:
Decent DB-5 baskets
Tee signs tell approx direction and hole #
Ace chances
Good to work on your mids/putters
A few lines to hit
Not crowded
Good for newbies/family
Decent use of the existing trees
Very quick round (15min). Play twice.
Well kept
Bathrooms near #7 tee
Water near bathrooms
Ample parking
Any DG near the lake is better than none
Might introduce newbies to the game
Favorite Hole(s): #5, #4. The only ones that forced you to go around something, though very short
Cons:
Natural tees
Tee signs tell only direction and #
#6 tee sign was broken and laying on ground
Almost wide open
Very few lines to hit
Almost no risk/reward
Repetetive most holes were across an open area to the trees on either side
Hole 7 throws near the parking (might hit a car)
Very little challenge
Holding a lot of water after the rain
Very flat
Very short
Other Thoughts:
If you happen to be camping here on Texoma, swing by and practice your short game. There is one hole that you might use a driver on. Only one. Don't travel any distance to play this course unless simply to bag another one. I recommend parking by the bathroom and starting on hole #7.
This is a course that I won't be back to unless I happen to be camping down at the lake.
My disc rating is weighted heavily toward fun factor which this course has very little of.
