Played the course:5+ times
Pros:
-about five minutes off of Interstate 10
+pretty lake at the heart of the course
+2/3 of the course is cut on a regular basis
+never crowded (I have yet to see another disc golfer on the course)
+players with imagination can make up their own challenging holes using the lake and surrounding asphalt path as OB
+bathrooms near hole 1

Cons:
-at least one basket missing (# 9)
-no tee signs nor tee markers of any sort
-basket #5 is severely overgrown with trees and weeds growing through it; I could not locate # 4 on my last visit and assume it is also overgrown by thick thick brush

Other Thoughts:
Without tee markers or tee signs, this course is little more than a big practice area. But as far as practice areas go, this one can be fun, especially to those who like to throw far. With a couple of baskets near the lake, imaginative players can make up their own challenging par 4 or 5 holes with an OB path on one side and the lake on the other.
Baskets 4 & 5 are not really playable any longer, as it's been a few years since their fairways have been mowed; now saplings and tall brush grow through these two baskets. Even before holes 4 & 5 were reclaimed by Mother Nature, those fairways were usually swampy, and so it's not that surprising that they are no longer mowed.
The rest of the course is cut regularly and there are enough big trees for players practicing to make their own interesting lines to the other baskets. But with no defined tee pads, no numbers on the baskets and no map, most players are going to be frustrated trying to figure this place out. It's surprising that a local golfer or two hasn't tried to revamp this course as it could be halfway decent with just tee posts installed and the baskets for 4 & 5 brought out from the brush into the grassy areas that are always mowed. I was thinking about doing that myself a couple years ago in fact, but instead I took up redesigning at Bogue Chitto State Park and Lafreniere Park which have been really time consuming. Maybe once I'm done with those two I'll see what I can do here.
