Pros:
This is a fun course to play if you are looking for a less challenging round. There are many birdie holes and ace runs available. There is a good mix of short and long holes. There are enough long holes with good tree obstacles to keep things interesting. The last few holes are good for the big arm thrower. About 7 of the holes have long tees, but they are not concrete and are difficult to locate unless you really look or have someone to point them out. Concrete tees, quality baskets, signs marking distance and par (although some baskets have been moved since the signs were posted...like holes 5 and 6), restrooms, and the course is not usually too crowded so it is a good place to practice. 10, 11, and 13 are fun holes to play.
Cons:
There is a lot of pedestrian traffic at this park and the walking path winds through the course with holes on both sides of the path so you're bound to have to sit and wait for someone to walk by before you can throw safely.
Other Thoughts:
Avoid hot summer days and windy days. There isn't much shade or anything to block the wind. In tournaments, on or across the sidewalk means that you are OB as well as on or across the drainage ditch or road. Playing the OBs and the long tees makes the course much tougher. In tournaments, usually this course and Lake Park are used. The scores are usually higher on average at LL due to the OBs and there being little to block the wind. If you think this course is too easy, play the longs and play the obs!
