Good family style course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 7, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Has 18 baskets
Plenty of Parking
restroom in the middle of the course
well maintained grass on most of the course

Cons:

Tee "polls" no longer have numbers on them and #16's poll was missing (found the hole where it use to be)
The holes on the other side of the main road, holes 12, 13 and 14 are not on the regular mowing schedule and it shows.
Not a course for pro's

Other Thoughts:

This is a fun little shot shaping course. The course somewhat flows pretty good, there are a few spots that have to doing some walking on the long side, but for the most part the course flows pretty well.

The tee's are marked with polls in the ground. I could not make out a number on any of them but some have the distance written in marker on them.

Longest hole on the course is hole 18 and is really the only hole over 300ft.

This is a great course to bring the family too, not much to get discs lost in, nice walk in the park.

Would I play here again? Yes, I actually would. I enjoy playing courses like this. just enough of a challenge without wearing myself out on super long holes.

Short and Flat, but Enjoyable 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 22, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Older DISCatcher baskets, all in terrific condition (#6 is leaning).
-Super friendly park staff
-Maps available in park office.
-Park is well maintained and clean.
-Restrooms in the park office/lodge and between #9 & #18 baskets.
-ALLIGATORS!

Cons:

-There are picnic tables and trash bins around the park but none are "on" the course.
-Grass tees.
-The orange tipped, white PVC tee markers leave much to be desired. Nothing but a hole number and no indication of which side to tee off from.
Short and very flat (...to be fair, the Mississippi Delta isn't known for its varied elevation).
-The course map will get you through the course but gives no info on flight path; every hole is represented as a straight on shot, which is not the case.
-No cell phone service
-ALLIGATORS!

Other Thoughts:

Although this course is very short and VERY flat, I think they did a great job with what there was to work with. A few holes take a good bit of accuracy, but even with a poor first shot par is still likely. There are several ace run holes but the ever-present trees make bogies a very real possibility. No need to lug your bag around on this one, take your favorite fairway driver, mid-range and putter and you'll be fine.
This is a fun, quick course, that I would recommend for beginners and kids, but unless you're passing through it's not worth the trip.

F.Y.I. - Someone mentioned discs for sell and rent in the office... I didn't see any. I may be mistaken or they may have stopped selling them.
