Business Park Disc Golf 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 8, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

First of all, I think it is great that a business park has installed a disc golf course. I would have killed to have Disc Golf at my workplace.

That being said, this is a basic little nine-holer with nothing to make it stand out. New baskets are in great shape, though I noted that the first basket has already been tagged.

Tees are designated by two short pipes sticking up out of the ground. Simple, but effective.

Hole 1 uses a concrete utility building as an obstacle to interrupt a straight drive to the pin. Hole 2 uses the trees along the fence-line to create one of the more interesting holes on the course. Hole 8 requires you to drive behind/around the baseball field backstop, and Hole 9 requires a short throw across the drive to a basket placed near a building.

Cons:

The course is placed on a "rough" area of land beside the business park. Understandably these areas are not watered or maintained, so there is a lot of thistle and tall grass to scratch at your legs.

Most of the holes are pretty basic throws over grass, with minimal trees to work around. There is a bit of up-and-down for the holes around the water detention areas, but otherwise no elevation.

Pads are simply scuffed out places in the ground and there are no signs. Signage isn't a big issue as the holes are straightforward, but I always appreciate distance info on a new course.

Other Thoughts:

Hole 1 is all of the way around behind the left-hand building with the tee next to a concrete utility building. This is a loading dock area so you'll need to park at the baseball field and walk back.

I'll try to get back here and run a GPS track to develop a course map and more accurate hole distances.
