Nice Warm Up Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 22, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

A nice mix of technical holes on the front 9, all easily aceable, then a nice stretch on the remaining holes. Makes it nice to play through since it gives you a little bit to warm up before you have to start bombing them out.

There appears to be a good community based around this course. The Charlotte Disc Golf Association I believe. They have a league called the Lincoln Logs and they have tournaments here quite often. Everybody that i've ran into at the course seems to be nice and respectful.

Cons:

Sometimes it's not really clear where to go. There is a map available sometimes and that helps out. If there is no maps, I can promise you will get lost if it's your first time. Some tee boxes are facing towards baskets that are not for that hole. Also on one hole you have to cross over the hole you just shot.

Other Thoughts:

If you are planning to play all day and travel for courses, I'd suggest stopping by and playing this if you are on your way up to Lansing to play some of the bigger courses. This course will take you about 2-3 hours if you are taking your time and it has just the perfect amount of balance between rewarding holes (little bit of difficulty that makes you feel good) and some trickey holes. Good variety for all players.

Night and Day 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 11, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Front and Back 9 are two totally different coarses. Front nine winds around a neatly kept, well mowed city park. Many people refer to this 9 as a Putt Putt course but if you take the oportunity to work on skip shots and low liners you can shoot 5-7 under. Nice cushion going into the back 9.
The back 9 takes you out into a wide open field. Fairways are mowed but the rough can be 3 foot high grass. Stay in the FAIRWAYS on the back 9.

Cons:

Holes 17 and 18 are affected by rain and can be under water. You are at the mercy of the wind through the entire 18 holes and can be greatly challenged. The short shots are very hard in gusting wind.
Wonderful coarse on the quiet day.

Other Thoughts:

Congrats on adding the back 9 !!
