Pros:

-The park is very well kept. Trash cans on most every teepad. Grass cut. mulch laid yearly on wooded holes.
-The course has plenty of variety, seems to favor RHBH players, but lots of woods open and doglegs in both directions.
-24 holes makes it longer and more fun.
-Great course for beginers and meds but pros will easily shoot ten down.
-Elevation change is huge on more than a couple holes.

Cons:

-Lots of traffic
-Parking lot can be crowded around baseball season.
-A couple cracked tees back in the woods.

Other Thoughts:

This is a must play a great course that gives you all you could want. It only has one or two 450+ holes so its not the longest out there, but it has lots of great elevation and variety. The course is very well groomed.

The hills are alive with the sound of chains 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 23, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

Banklick will have you going in and out of the woods over all sorts of elevation in a beautifully maintained and manicured park. If there is ever a roller coaster based on a disc golf course, this course would be the perfect inspiration.

Cons:

Some indication of where the next tee was located would have been helpful in navigating a few areas of the course although this is really more of a nitpick than a con.

Other Thoughts:

A short disclaimer: I was only able to play 1-19 as a monsoon decided to move in around #18.

With that said, every hole on this course was enjoyable. Short, long, wooded, open.. there is something here for every type of player.

There are quite a few stand out holes with #14 sticking out in my mind at the moment. You throw from the top of a very steep hill littered with trees towards a basket placed on the corner of a very deep creek bed. Even the lightest touch could put you in the creek but you won't care since you'll be having too much fun throwing the rest of your discs down the hill!

I could go on and on telling you about how great this course is but I think I'll sum it up quickly so you can get started on planning your trip here. This course was an absolute blast to play and I very highly recommend you play it if you're in the area.

Great course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:May 24, 2008 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course has a little of everything. Open, woods, uphill, downhill, water, short, and long. If you can think of it this course has it. There are several holes that require shots that you are just not going to get to try very ofter. Very well maintained.

Cons:

I can't think of many. A few holes in the woods have some errosion. You have to do some really steep walking, so if your not in very good shape you might have some trouble.

Other Thoughts:

Great course!! My favorite in the area even though everyone else seems to like idlewild better. I think this course is more deverse and is better suited for the average disc golfer.

Elevation! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 1, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

I played this on a somewhat windy day, and despite the havoc it wreaked on my game, I loved this course! It's a beautiful course, first of all, with imposing old growth trees and a gorgeous stream wending through the back of the course. Many of the holes are about elevation, including one which requires a straight-down-the-hill shot that can land you in the stream. The holes are easy to find, are well-marked, have great tees, and are set up logically. An alternate tee and several alternate holes make sure you don't have to play the same game each time. Wooded and open holes make for a well-rounded game that requires you use all your arsenal of shots.

Cons:

Not a course for players unwilling to walk a little bit or go up and down hills. A few muddy spots make for some fun times.

Other Thoughts:

Really fun course to play that will challenge your distance and accuracy.

Pros:

Great scenery, beautiful setting. Some challenging holes, some easy. Most defiantly a Top 5 Course in Kentucky.

Cons:

Backside of course can be hell on your legs. severely sloped down to creek and back up.

Other Thoughts:

Would play here anytime!!!!!
