Great course for beginners and experienced 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 9, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-Well maintained
-Pro shop
-Friendly atmosphere
-Course length isn't brutally long or terribly short.
-Interesting and challenging holes
-Not too wooded
-Great for beginners and for experienced disc golfers to practice their game.

Cons:

-A little hilly, in fact there might be only a couple holes without a hill to walk down or up.
-Some holes (8, 9, 11, 18) you throw near the woods and the brush can be thick during spring and summer making it difficult to find discs.

Other Thoughts:

Overall this course is really good. Sue has it taken care of and it's not a littered piece of crap. There's a port-o-john by hole 7 in case you really have to go. Also, a great pro shop with all types of discs from rarities to used plus some drinks and snacks.

Hilly and fun! Exhausting! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 10, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

9 baskets with 3 layers of chains. They may be Spiderweb baskets based on the design but I'm not 100% sure. Very grippy. Dual tees make 18 holes (tees numbered 1-18).

Elevation: There is no hole that is truly flat. Holes 1/10, 5, and 6/14 had the least elevation. The remaining holes had moderate elevation.

18 tees: Each tee brought a unique shot for each hole requiring a different throw. Holes 3 and 12 had tee pads that were the closest to being the same throw. One was about 15 feet longer.

Course plays like an 18 hole course. Very spread out.

Blind shots!

Water hazard on holes 2 and 11.

6 hilly, wooded holes (3 baskets).

This was a very peaceful course on a hilly, scenic property. Course map at start of course. Pro shop on site.

Not many courses in the area. Great course!

Cons:

Not much shade on holes 5-9 and 14-18. It can get very hot. Either bring water or purchase drinks inside.

Course is out of the way (but worth it).

Course needs signs next to each throw pad. You can see baskets for most holes but distances would help!

$3 per person. Course page is listed as $2.

Other Thoughts:

I always wanted to play this course since it is not too far from my lake house and I really enjoyed it.

If you only play 9 holes you will like it. If you play 18, you will love it. However, the hills make it an exhausting journey.

I would like to see a few benches and trash cans but since it is on a property, it is understandable.

I would recommend this course. It is very scenic and peaceful. This would be a great course to play in the fall when leaves change color.
