Best Camp Course that I've played

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 14, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

+Dual tees on every hole. As far as I can tell, the course went in 2 years ago with one set of natural tees so it looks like they continue to improve the course. Tees are long and short and there is a good amount of difference in distance and line for most of them.
+Tees are concrete and are in great shape.
+Nice baskets, all in good shape. A few that are elevated for increased challenge.
+A few holes have some water (ponds) involved. Would be cool to have the lake more involved but Lakeshore is valuable.
+This course is accomodating to a variety of skill levels with the two sets of tees. I think most can play here and have fun.
+Nice variety in hole lengths and shot shapes. Plenty of ace opportunities on the shorter tees and a few holes that require two higher power throws on the longer tees. The front 9 was more moderately wooded park style before the second half was more true wooded course.
+Maintenance was solid when I was there.
+Not too much for elevation but what was there was used well. Baskets were placed in good locations to add challenge when approaching baskets. They make players consider landing angles, rollaways, etc.
+The setting for this course is beautiful and quiet. Haven't played in the fall but I would guess that it is even better.

Cons:

-Can't play when there are campers there and I don't know of a way to find out before you arrive there. Luckily, I travel past the Boji area somewhat often so I was passing through when they were open this time. Third time is a charm!
-It is smart of them to keep the course closed when there are campers there for safety reasons. The course goes past cabins and other camp buildings and activities. The course also throws over and near the road a few times.
-A few of the wooded holes had an extra tree or two that I would probably have removed if it were my course. Nothing crazy tight but just a preference thing.
-The raised basket on two is right next to the road. It seems like this would make the road come into play more. I'd rather have a raised basket on a different hole.
-A few places that could swallow a disc like any course with woods and tall grasses.

Other Thoughts:

+Debated between 3.5 and 4 on this course. It's a 3.75 for me. I think it's better than Boji Gold. It had a lot of really nice looking holes but maybe lacked a true signature hole.
+I definitely want to get back here to play again. I'd recommend this course for sure.
+Most camp courses that I've played are low budget afterthoughts but not this one. This course is well done and very fun.
+It says on the sign by the road and the sign by the parking area if the course is closed. It is a white sign that is slid in near the Disc Golf/Trails portion of the sign.
