Open Short Course - Great for Practice

Pros:
Common Amenities:
- New Baskets on every hole.
- Nice signs by Pandamonium that help make the course easier to follow
- A few trashcans spread throughout the course
- A few benches spread throughout the course
- Athletic fields nearby can be useful for warming up
- Bathrooms near the playground (short walk from the disc golf course)
Course Design:
- Good variety of hole lengths and shapes
- Adds challenge to short holes by placing baskets near/in pockets in the trees rewarding shot placement instead of distance
- other holes use the edge of old ball golf greens to reward shot placement
- A few longer open holes to throw your favorite distance drivers is always a bonus
- A few multi-hole loops that allow you to easily skip slow groups/replay your favorite holes

Cons:
- Currently has rubber tee-pads which can be quite slick when wet (from rain or dew)
- Only one set of pins are in the ground although the tee signs mention two (the current pins are a mix of A and B pins)
- Where the course starts isn't immediately obvious from the parking lot. You need to follow the walking path past the basketball courts
- A few dangerous side by side fairways where you could potentially be throwing it at a group on another hole.
- Similarly a few holes play near athletics fields where an errant drive could go into a baseball or soccer game.
- Course is near a small airport, gets lots of noisy and low flying planes (potentially a pro if you like looking at planes)
- also has several holes near a busy and loud road (however, not a major risk of throwing it into the road)

Other Thoughts:
I really enjoy the design of this course and how it utilizes the available land. Its open enough that most holes allow you to throw in your own style and don't force one singular shot shape. The placement of pins on hill sides and near/in tree lines helps emphasize and reward accuracy on what is a fairly short course.
What can this course do to improve?
- I'm sure permanent concrete tee pads will show up in the future
- A sign near the parking lot to make it more obvious where to head for first timers
- A practice basket near hole 1's teepad would be nice. Currently people seem to use hole 18's basket
- a Port-a-Potty right near tee 1 would also be a nice addition

Fun course but don't expect greatness 2+ years

Pros:
+ Innova DISCatchers - Brand new and catch just as expected.
+ Restrooms nearby with trashcans mixed around.
+ Super easy to navigate. There is maybe a 100' walk from pin to tee. That along with the next hole markers on each basket make for a super easy time finding your way throughout the course. You will not need to use uDisc to find your way around.
+ Teesigns are top notch. This is another Kevin Rynders design for the teesigns like all the other courses in the Milwaukee area. The teesign graphics are big, bright and colorful and show you every bit of information that you could need. The teesigns as well do not have hole numbers on them, instead the post has the hole number on it on a removable part. This is done so that if the course gets tweaked and hole numbers change then you will not have to purchase all new teesigns. Genius design IMO.
+ Course design is pretty spot on for the land. This is an old 9-hole ball golf course so you kind of expect it to be a lot of boring open shots but every hole brings in the trees, bushes and rolling holes very nicely. There are some wide open bomber shots that can be reached by the big arms but then some short technical shots that anyone can enjoy. When its possible there were pins placed on the edge of old golf greens that are slightly elevated so running some shots can be a bit puckery but they are all fair. The course is on the shorter side so it is kinda deuce or die on a lot of holes.

A lot of holes had a more than one line to the basket so you can have a bit of variety here is this is the only course that you play.

Other Thoughts:
Overall I really liked this course and think it's a great addition to the Milwaukee County courses. This wasn't an overly challenging course and is one that could easily see some perfect rounds. The long holes are all tweener par 3-4's and about half of the par 3's are short par 3's. I would consider this a great course for beginners with how open it is, lack of rough and shorter hole distances.
This is not a must play course, especially if you have to choose which courses you will get to play in the Milwaukee area since there are much better courses in town. This is definitely a fun course to have a casual round at but don't expect greatness out of it.

A great basis for a ball golf conversion 2+ years drive by

Pros:
- Naturally rolling terrain
- Neat uses of the space they were given
- Fun mixes of open bomber holes and shorter more technical pins
- Beginner friendly, but gives them room to grow when they become more experienced

Cons:
- Natural tees, but this is forgivable as the course isn't even a month old
- Slightly confusing layout as the tees of 6, 13, and 15 are all next to each other
- Wooden, handwritten tee signs that wont last, but again, this is forgivable

Other Thoughts:
Milwaukee County's newest course is, in my eyes, a great conversion of a small par 3 golf course into an 18-hole disc golf course. The mix of short and long holes provide a great flow and the natural terrain of the course is fun to play across. I'm pleasantly awaiting the additions of the permanent signs seen at the other County Parks courses and the pouring of concrete tees. When those are added, this course could easily become a 3.5 or 4 star course to me.
