Pros:
Colorado Disc Golf? Not quite. But playing at 4000' in the Cuyamaca Mountains feels special. The six Black Ace baskets are situated in a hexagon; each nearby dirt tee pad can access two or three different baskets, creating a variety of options and shot shapes. Huge live oaks that line the bowl guard the well-placed positions. The longest positions will test an arm with 350' power. It's quiet, peaceful, relaxed, and a good course to work on specific shots.
Cons:
The tee pads are dirt and a bit short. James Conrad might have a little problem here. It's not a linear course which may bother the linear-minded. It's not on UDisc yet.
Other Thoughts:
The drive to Julian just got better. Apple Pie and Disc Golf. I've played two rounds so far, and in the process emptied my bag a dozen times: it is just so fun teeing off from some of the placements; I could literally do it all day. The last time out I limited myself to my Nine Speeds, which left me short on the long uphill which really takes 400'+ of power. So fun!!!!! (Discs at elevation behave differently!!!)
