Location - the location of this course is right next to a small/medium sized lake in a state recreation type area in rural Nebraska. You can camp in the adjacent campground for a small fee. The campground is great and has RV as well as tent camping with restrooms/showers. The views on the hills are very scenic and you play among rolling hills and trees. The course is located about 15 minutes or so away from Norfolk (home to 2 more 18 hole courses) and 5 minutes away from Stanton, a small town w/ a gas station, bars, etc.

Design - Being as the course is located in a public recreation area I figured that it would be fairly simple. I was pleasantly surprised to find how challenging it was. The design makes good use of the elevation and trees. All the holes have a mowed fairway with tall grass in the rough. Stay on the fairway and you won't lose anything, get off it and you could lose a disc. None of the holes are super long, but they aren't all gimmies either. The 9th hole ends right where the 1st begins. Some holes, particularly 1 and 9, are great empty-your-bag type holes.

Infrastructure - There are natural tee pads here that are marked by a wood 4x4 in the ground. The baskets appear to be home-made as they are much larger than normal baskets. They are well-made and catch discs fairly well. Overall this area could be better.

This course exceeded my expectations! It was not a world-beater by any means, but was a fun 9-holer to play while camping.Probably not worth a trip to play by itself, but setting up a tent and camping in the park for a weekend would allow you to play this course and head up to Norfolk and play both 18 courses there.
