Pros:
+ Meadowbrook is a short 18 holer, with most of the holes tailored towards beginners. You're greeted by a massive lion statue right by the first tee. But unfortunately, the course goes out like a lamb.
+ The first two holes and last two holes are pretty solid. They're short, but have a few different lines with water coming into play on 2, 17, and 18.
+ DISCatcher baskets are in nice shape. The tee signs are some of the best I've seen. Quality material with descriptive maps and distances.
+ Concrete tees for every hole. Easy to navigate as most holes are very close to each other.
Cons:
- The design is mediocre at best. Some fairways overlap each other, making it tough to play if more than one group is on the course.
- 18 is really, really forced into a space not big enough for it. You could have a very solid 9 hole course here that wouldn't feel so crammed.
- Most holes are under 300' so there isn't much challenged for an advanced player. Only one set of tees.
- May run into issues with pedestrians on several holes. One hole plays over a bocce court, and another is a blind shot over benches and walkways. Can be dangerous at times.
- #18 doesn't end near #1.
Other Thoughts:
Meadowbrook is a nice attempt at a course, but it just isn't very fun. After the first couple holes, you're left with a mediocre and somewhat dangerous experience. You don't need 18 holes for a quality course!
