Reviewed: Played on:Dec 21, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

*Amazing one of a kind Hole 18
*Plenty of elevation and water in play
*Excellent baskets and some new concrete teepads
*Set in a beautiful mature park like setting

Cons:

*Many teepads right next to the previous basket or in the flight path of other holes!
*Constantly throwing over or down walking paths! Some of the best routes ARE the walking path!
*Several tee signs were no where near accurate. Even if they were, they weren't too helpful.
*Holes 7, 10, & 12 the best route is down the walking paths.
*Two holes (10 & 16), my drive faded over the next tee pad in route to the basket.

Other Thoughts:

This course was probably the most disappointing on my road trip. It's highly rated and reviewed, but drove me nuts playing it throwing down all those walking paths. The walking paths are pretty old. So, who knows how much they are used in warm weather. The teepads being within 10 feet of baskets seemed to be a common theme on courses in NE Indiana. Makes for an easy short walk!

The park and lakes are beautiful. Hole 18 is a once in a lifetime hole.

If anything, play here just to finish on 18. Then check out the Sunken Gardens and the beautiful town of Huntington. I missed my turn and rerouted down the main street with an old theatre. It was well worth the wrong turn!
