Meridian Practice Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 30, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This course allows you, as the previous review stated, to warm up and I would add to practice short up shots with a couple of open fairway shots.
The course on the first few holes has trees. Some sort of obstacle on a course that averages 200' holes makes them a little outside of a guaranteed birdie.
On holes 6 and 7, my weaker arm cant reach the basket in one throw so I got to practice longer puts for the birdies.

Cons:

The course plays at a school. Closed during school hours. The first couple times I played was before school started but after the school year is underway, there are always some sort of extracurricular activities being performed in the back fields that inhibit 3 of the 9 holes.
Very short 6/9 holes, all in the 200' range. No need to bring the long distance drivers.
Tee pads are small and sometimes hard to find if you haven't played. Some of the bricks are cracked and fading away.

Other Thoughts:

Only Meridian course open year round. Settlers and Bear Creek are closed during all the good summer time and if you live close it limits you to either going to Eagle Island or out to Nampa/Boise.
New tee pad bricks would be great!

So-so. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 25, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Meridian's only free course that is playable year round.
Well maintained grass.

Cons:

On a windy day, like today, you can easily lose a frisbee over the southern fences into the neighbors' back yards (and we did, 3x)
'Pads' are a 2ft by 2 ft brick with the Hole's number painted on it in white.
We played on a Saturday, and I assume on weekdays you would have to play around students.

Other Thoughts:

Holes 6 and 7 were longer, but wide open.
Play it as a warm-up round on the way to Eagle Island.
