College Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 13, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This course has a variety of shots and a good number of them play along/cross water. The course was designed for new college players so it isn't to difficult.

Cons:

Pretty wet in the spring.

Other Thoughts:

A large number of holes will be redesigned in 2010 to avoid some of the very wet areas.

A fun walk though the woods 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 28, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

A great use of the terrain and the woods. This course offers a great variety of shots and obstacles to navigate. About half the holes are through the woods and the remaining holes offer some great holes.

Cons:

Better tee signs with distances and better signage to next tee.

Other Thoughts:

This course was fun to play and had just enough difficulty to make it fun but not impossible.

i was suprised 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 3, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This coure has a lot of holes that bank the opposite way of right handed players. This is nice becuse it gives a person a chance to work on forearm and overhand shots.. There are holes both in and out of the woods wich makes for a nice layout and the course is not extreemly long if your on a time limit the average player can play it in about an hour and a half

Cons:

On hole 4 you are shooting over the pond and it is quite easy to loose your disc in the pond thirteen and seventeen are also by the water too but aslong as you are mindful of your sourounding then it sould not pose as too difficult threat

Fun course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 14, 2008 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice course with decent amount of variety including woods (predominantly), stream, pond, slight elevation, and one or two grip and rip holes. This is one of the more "playable" woods courses in Roch area with relatively open fairways and open understory (to be fair, I played in mid-Oct so veg nearly done for season anyhow). Very generous pars (black tees) can make you feel good (most holes should probably be par-1). Nice scorecard & plenty avail - a rarity!

Cons:

The woods holes are forgiving but several are along existing paths and although no one was around when I played, it seems likely that you could be throwing right into a jogger/walker coming around the bend. Tees difficult to locate on some holes, especially during autumn's leaf fall. Small yellow signs with arrows are of moderate help as is the scorecard map.

Other Thoughts:

First timers be patient locating tees.

Enjoy it.

Fun, short course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 22, 2008 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Good mix of open and wooded holes, course was in great condition in the summer and fall. Some water comes into play, with a bit of elevation utilized where possible. There were actually score cards with map available at the first hole when I played, which is a first for any of the courses I have played. Lots of birdie opportunities, or if you're good ace runs. Pretty quick to play if you are playing other courses in the area, might as well hit this one.

Cons:

There was quite a bit of traffic the first time I played from non disc golfers, but they weren't really in the way. The course plays a bit short, so if you like long bomber holes you might not like this one.

Other Thoughts:

Park behind the hockey rink and put a note on your dash "playing disc golf" and you won't be ticketed. Hole 13 is right behind the parking lot so you might want to start there.

Good Mix - Nice Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 25, 2007 Played the course:never

Pros:

Great variety of holes - open field, wooded, over water and movement around the course flows pretty smoothly. Little tricky to find the tee on 10 from the pin on 9 if you don't know your way. Open all year round, which is great for us Eastsiders.

Cons:

Lots of bugs in the summer - come prepared. Only thing more frustrating than losing your disc in the pond in is watching it sit on the thin ice (just out of reach) during early winter. Maybe it will freeze over completely in the coming months and the water hazard wont be such an issue for us less acurate drivers.

Other Thoughts:

Permanent tee pads would be a nice addition.
