Mid Range Bliss 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 13, 2018 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

~ Super fun, super quick (20 mins tops), especially if you were on the road and just wanted a practice game like myself, it still posed a challenge if going for only aces
~ Course flows from hole to hole, you end where you start
~ Seems to be maintained trash, trees, and grass wise
~ Sign at entry point stating the rules of course
~ Two other courses on site, not far from more fun
~ Free to play
~ Decent location off I-35, at least with GPS it is not hard to get there, via 23 or 210, there is an obvious sign at the Resort entrance to confirm that you have made it
~ Baskets are nice, tee markers at every tee with footage
~ Par 3 throughout course, easy to remember
~ Fair share of left hooks, right hooks, straights, with well placed trees on half the holes
~ An awesome view of the resort and skiing slope in background
~ You only need a decent midrange to play this course, take it easy and pack lite
~ Great for beginners, especially first timers, or to warm up, it's fun shooting for Aces for the moderately skilled
~ Disc Shop at the main office, as well as food and bathrooms
~ Nearby camping and cabins

Cons:

~ Course is a little tight, 1 and 8 overlap
~ There is building supplies in various locations throughout the course, such as the PVC pipes on 3 or stacks of lumber on 5, they are not critical to playing though, just not pleasing to the eyes
~ Tees are little dirt patches with a yellow stake marking the foul line of the tee
~ Despite the flow of the course, a posted course map would be cool
~ Parking is a little odd, you park on the edge of the resort's entry gravel road, It's low traffic, but there could be a small parking area, it just doesn't exist
~ I don't remember a trash can, but it would be nice
~ Hole 9 was missing when I went, I played number 1 again in it's place

Other Thoughts:

~ You are requested to go to the office first and sign a disclaimer paper
~ Play this course with a Par 2 in mind for every hole and you will be doing pretty good
~ Pond is currently low, there is swampy mud on the newer shoreline, only risky to land in the mud on 2 and 4
~ Great if you are in the area and need a quick game, I will visit again, and hope to see it improved
~ It was such a thrill, I played it three times
~ It looks like they are trying to install a new hole 9, they were clearing some trees near hole 1

Fun for putter practice or to teach a new player.

The name of the course says it all 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 14, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Easy, mostly open, lightning fast play.

Cons:

Incredibly easy and not much variety.

Other Thoughts:

It's called the Ace Run for a reason. This is an incredibly short course in which all holes can be aced. This is a perfect course for a new person to learn to play. It's also a great warm up course of more experienced players to start with before hitting up either of the other 2 monster courses featured at MDL.
