Fun to shoot low scores 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 3, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great layout for a small course
Easy to par but takes a touch to consistently birdie

Cons:

Short course
Some other tees don't give much of a different shot

Other Thoughts:

This course is easier to get well under par. At random draw doubles on Thursday the winners could be at -17 or they could be at -10 depending on pairings and the wind. It is an enjoyable course to play and try to get a new best score. If you don't think you will be challenged come out to a tourney or Thursday doubles and see how you compete. (challenge thrown down)

May need more of a challenging coarse 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 5, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Shorter holes but can be easily birdies. A couple of shots off a giant hill which is fun. Few tree shots to but pretty standard throughout

Cons:

Too easy especially with pars. They should all b 3's really. Not much variety here. Good for hopping for an ace then an easy putt-- needs more of a challenge or trees but not bad of beginning

Small course, but fun 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Feb 28, 2010 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

- A very clean and well maintained course.
- Par signs with distance, pro & AM's par, and basket location.
- Cement tee pads at every hole and every alternate hole.
- Interesting shots on hole 6 &7 good use of the hill.
- Some of the alternate tee pads are like playing new holes. You can play alternate as back 9.
- You have a good chance to get an ace on this course.
- Most holes veer slightly left or right.
- By hole 1 there is a map & info about course
- Hole 8 could not be any easier basket is only 108ft away.

Cons:

- Only 9 baskets. Front 9 share with back 9.
- Some alternate tee pads are only 20 to 40ft away other tee pad.
- Only 1 hole over 300ft
- Duck boop was all over the course

Other Thoughts:

Not a hard course so if you're new to disc golf you will probably like it here. If you're a pro you might find it not challenging enough. I played there my first time in an ice tournament. I placed 12th out of 38 people. Played a total of 44 holes. Allen Hazelwood held a good tournament and I met alot of ggod people from the Morse Beach D.G.C.

morse beach 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 30, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

well maintained. in a nice park in a great area. lots of activity going on. discatcher baskets are nice. fair amount of trees makes for fun throws. the throw off the levee is fun. short course really helps the midrange and putting game.

Cons:

nothing really bad about this course. it is a quick play and is really fun. not very many chances to lose a disc unless you throw way to the right on 2 and 11. or if you shoot a million miles to the right on 8 and 17 and somehow throw it into the resevor lol

Other Thoughts:

good park. fun. fast. well maintained. get a round in before dinner after work or on a lunch break. they seem to have a good amount of people show up for doubles and tourneys.

Short and Sweet 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 16, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

Simple lay-out, alternate tees, great signage, easy to navigate, variety of shots.

Cons:

Not too challenging, alternate tees do not make too much of a difference, only 9 baskets.

Other Thoughts:

This is a great beginner course offering shorter holes with a variety of shots. The tree growth is mature making for distinct lines of play. The alternate tees add some distance and a different view of the hole, but not too much that it is noticable.

The course is easy to navigate and flows nicely from beginning to end. This is a great course for beginners or anyone wanting to work on their short game. There is a harldy any chance to lose a disc at this course.

It is a quick play course so you can get multiple rounds in or head over to Dr. James A Dillon Park. I would come to this course again to play before going to Dr. James A Dillon park, but I would not play this course if you were on a timely schedule.
