Simple course, good for some quick practice. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 8, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

- It's almost entirely shaded, so it's perfect to play on a hot day.
- Not long so it only requires a couple of mid-ranges and a putter. The ultra-tight layout makes it great for practicing difficult shots that need to go through tight spaces.
- Views of Lake Hartwell. Four baskets are within 50 feet of the water, but it would take a really bad shot that caromed off a few trees to actually hit the lake.

Cons:

- Almost all the tee shots require are tight tunnel shots (at best) so you feel like you're throwing recovery shots every time.

Other Thoughts:

- You're going to hit trees no matter how hard you try, so have some patience when you play.
- I get the feeling that the 'park administration' didn't want to have any trees or bushes cleared out for the sake of the course so that's why the fairways seem so ridiculous.
- Huge dirt pile in the 5th fairway. I thought this was for a current project, but apparently it's been there for a while. (also mentioned in a previous review from May 2014)

Nice course! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 26, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Easy to navigate. With the course map and tee box signs, you'll have no trouble finding your way around.
-This is one wooded course that gives you a "tunnel" opening on almost every hole. On so many other wooded courses you just throw and hope.
-It's a short course that you can score low on. Others may list that as a con.
-Even though several baskets are near the lake, water doesn't come into play if you play smart.

Cons:

There was a lot of litter on the course the day I played. I picked as much up as I could carry off. Come on people! If you carry your drink cans and bottles onto the property, then carry it off. There were a lot of trash containers in the parking lot.

Other Thoughts:

I've never understood why some people enjoy vandalizing and littering public parks and recreation facilities. It's a problem we have on almost every disc golf course in the state. Not only is this annoying and disrespectful, it's also a crime, and perpetrators should, at the very least, be banned from the property. In the meantime, it's up to the rest of us to pickup and dispose of.

Shorty by the lake 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 29, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

Very nice flow. Descriptive tee signs. Pretty scenery with mostly wooded holes & lake nearby. A small amount of elevation in play with roll-away angles used very nicely. Pretty easy to navigate. Plenty of parking.

Cons:

Its a shame the lake doesn't come into play more (or maybe not? haha). The tee pads are 'framed' but no cement poured so some are rough & root filled!

Other Thoughts:

short holes but tricky navigation through the saplings makes this an interesting course to add to your must play list!

Great for Beginners 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 6, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Great, short course for beginners.
There are 2 or 3 Ace possibilities.
Beautiful scenery, right on lake.
Great putting practice.
Great tees to be natural.

Cons:

A little confusion on where next tee box is located.
To many trees on a few holes.

Other Thoughts:

Played here for my 4th time playing. (4 over)
I took my 8 y/o son for his first time playing. It was alittle tight for him though.Needs a little TLC but overall I like it.
