Pros:
Cement tee pads
New DD Vet Baskets
Wooded holes, air it out holes,
Camping available, motel nearby.
Cons:
Tee pads are on the small side
Several long holes in the wide open
Other Thoughts:
This course is in the middle of nowhere, however you can camp at the park and there is a "resort" with a motel a short distance away.
This is a new course, the tee pads just went in and were still being worked on. No tee signs yet. The wooded holes were rough still, needs a lot of mowing to get them decent.
Nice parking lot shared with the Fishing Pier. There are pit toilets at the parking lot too. The first hole throws over the edge of the lake and then you go into the heavy wooded area.
Hole 6 is near the lake again with several trees, Holes 7 to 11 follow around the lake and are mostly wide open shots with maybe a tree or two. Hole 11 is a nice turnover into a nice green in the trees. The it is back into the open for a another couple of holes. Hole 16 was pretty cool, tunnel shot down an old road bed with a line of tree's on both sides. Then two boring holes to get you back to your car.
I would have rated this course higher if it were not for all the long wide open shots. The course isn't that bad, it just started out pretty good and fell flat on it's face.
Would I play here again? mmm, interesting question on this one. I am very mixed on this. The other course is more my style at the university. I honestly can't say which one I would rather play if given a choice. They both have great holes and bad holes.
