A course with awesome potential! 2+ years drive by

Pros:

First, let me honestly say that i have not actually played the course. I had to choose (1) when entering number of times played. What i did do was walk the course from start to finish. It did give me an excellant footprint of what this course is about.
Like some of the other reviews, it's a very fair, but challenging layout. I like how, like traditional golf, you get a physical challenge here. Lots of hills. It is a shorter course so it is fair with distance for beginners and inexperinced players. I appreciate that it has plenty of garbage cans for trash and also places to sit as you play. It actually is a very scenic course. Case in point, the approach to #7, and #16. Great baskets or targets to play to. ( one suggestion for them would be to paint maybe the upper ring for ease of sight and location)

Cons:

Maybe the first thing would be an important one. The tee pads often are just a bare earth pad or an area where they have two locator flags. Every so often there are carpet pads or a similar item. Its a nice park, so they will probably get concrete pads soon enough.
Another thing is the hole diagrams at the tee. There is the hole # but that is it. They do have the plate turned facing the direction of the hole which is cool. But for a course this nice, with baskets as nice as these, it NEEDS a diagram. As well, since this is a hilly course, several of the tee shots are blind ones, which is awesome! But knowing the direction of the hole can aid in shaping your shots when it is a blind one.

Other Thoughts:

This is a quality track! I cant wait to play it! It has crazy potential. The only reason i didnt play it today was because i was offically at work and just didnt have the time. Dont miss it.

Pros:

This course is pretty much completely out of the way of the rest of the park. I went there during a major softball tournament, and had absolutely not interference from the softball.

Good use of elevation and of the woods. The lines are tight, but fair. Hole seven and two stuck out to me as a great holes. Seven is a risk reward shot that if overshot ends up in water.

The holes require a lot of accuracy, and keep you on your game mentally on 16 of the 18 holes.

Located close to the Valentine courses, and would be a good warm up in the morning or a close out round.

Cons:

It was hard to navigate at times, hole 9 and 18 are straight shots with nothing in the way. No distances on the signs, which is slightly frustrating.

Some "next tee this way" signs would really help the flow and navigation of this course for people who haven't been there.

Other Thoughts:

I will NOT mark this course down because of natural tees as they will probably add concrete when given enough funds (there is a great disc golf scene in the area). This course needs "beat in" a little bit more, but that will come with time and more rounds being played there.
