Slippery When Wet! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 6, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Can you call an area with three holes a course? How about if one of those three holes is mostly unplayable? The National @ Parkville sits down in a small valley. It has a great sign advertising both the disc and ball golf courses. The first tee pad is great although an awesome play structure has been built directly in it's fairway. The basket should be moved to the near side of this play area. The baskets are the DGA models with the hard to read red numbers. Most disc golfers will be able to navigate this three hole behemoth of a course without a map and blindfolded.

Cons:

Only three holes.

Play structure in the middle of the # 1 fairway. Do you think Tiger or Rory ever have to skip a hole due to a kid's play area having been constructed in the middle of one of their fairways?

Beginner challenge.

Other Thoughts:

Slippery when wet! The skies opened up almost as soon as I stepped up to # 1. As I crossed a sidewalk which appeared to be a brown color, I discovered it was covered with a fine layer of mud which was about as slippery as snot! I think I must have looked like a cartoon character as I teetered left, teetered right, front and backwards, all the while by some incredible agility managed to keep my feet under me. Then just about a minute later while trying to retrieve my errant throw which had landed just off the fairway, as I was trying to navigate across this bog-like area, the gooey mud sucked off my shoe, my next step in my now shoeless foot, sunk into the mud as I was falling over like a rotten tree and somehow scraping the top of my foot in the process. By now the thunder was rumbling and I was getting soaked. Do I deduct points from this already 0.75 rated course due to thunder, lightning and gooey mud?

Cute little course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 12, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Beautiful $500K homes surround the course, in one of the more upscale neighborhoods in Kansas City. Nice concrete tees and considering everything, a decent distance to the basket. What few little trees don't come into play.

Cons:

Flat, a little boring and only 3 holes. Kind of a stretch to call it a "course".

Other Thoughts:

Hey it's in the National and it's a disc golf course.
