Pros:
(1.911 Rating) An MA3 level course with 2 distinct parts to it.
- BASKETS - It's never a good sign when I pro the baskets first in a review. Pro 28 DISCatchers. Woot Woot.
- COUNTS AS A COURSE PLAYED - Yep it's a course. 18 Baskets, 18 tees, 18 tee signs. This concludes the Pros.

Cons:
Nearly every possible disc golf attribute is sub-par.
- AMENITIES - Nebo Crossing is still a fairly young course. About a year old as of this review post. It's still not decked out with the niceties that the many older established courses have. The baskets, as noted, are excellent, but all the other amenity aspects are below average or non-existent. For example, natural tees with no tee line. My guess is that players are supposed to throw near the hole number and distance only tee signs. Some holes had obvious natural tee ground scars, but others did not. That's actually it for the amenities package. There is lots of growth available here on this aspect.
- NAVIGATIONAL GAP - After (4), there's an arrow directing players down a rocky path and into the woods. It's like a 5-minute hike. Not so bad going down, but this same path needs to be taken back up after (13). That's where they get ya. I was exhausted standing on (14). I kind of wish the first bench of the day would be waiting for me there, but no such luck.
- HOLE VARIETY - The play variety is average, at best. There is an even mix of wooded and open. There is some modest elevation change at times. (13) is a nice twisting up shot and (18) has a tricky green with a suspended basket on the edge of a drop off. I think I counted two par 4s, but both were soft 4s to this MA2 level player. Although there are some nice variety aspects here, it's also very blah at times.
- LACK OF CHALLENG - As an MA2 I threw 8 down on first attempt. It seemed perfect for players between an 800 to perhaps an 875 rating. MA1s will murder the course. I only felt challenged a few times, and a couple of the tougher shots were a little too luck based, like on (12).
- NATURAL BEAUTY - I'd score the woods portion around a 3.0 for beauty and the open portion a 1.75. (1) thru (3) are completely featureless and will fail to appease the mind for nearly everyone.
- WEAR ORANGE - I likely looked like a complete goof walking around with an orange disc above my head while in the woods. I didn't want to get shot though. In the woods are dozens of animal hunting targets. I felt like I was in a horror movie at times. Perhaps this is a temp thing. It was hunting season when I threw it.
- TIME PLAY - Over an hour, bag out to bag back into the car. Basket (18) and tee (1) are 750 feet apart, which wasn't a fun walk after tapping out. Time play never influences my course rating, but gaps this far in flow do.

Other Thoughts:
Just two pros for this 2.0 course. I realize that I put down a lot of cons on this one, but it was not all bad. It felt like disc golf. I had some mirage aces and I piled up the birdies. So, I had my fun at times here. I got it at about a half peg behind the average course. Nebo definitely has some growth potential, especially on the amenities portion. I could easily see it achieving a 2.5 on my ledger with some love and investment, maybe even a 3.0 with some tweeks. As is, a week to mid 2.0 level course to me. It reminds me of places like Southside in Huntsville Alabama, Grassy Creek south of Indianapolis and Hurricane Alley south of Mobile.

Pros:
-The property terrain is very nice. Especially on the upper part. You'll really get your hopes up for some sweet elevation change once you are finished with #16. It ends well with a nice challenging uphill anhyzer on #18 to a hanging basket in the woods. Definitely the best hole on the course.
-Good mix of open and wooded. Nine holes on the upper part of the property are all at least mostly open. All the holes on the bottom part of the property. Maybe 60' below (see cons below) in the woods.
-Few interesting shaped holes. I like the slightly right to left backhand on #5. #7 is a nice sharp left to right sidearm. 210' and slightly downhill. Gives a great view of how far below you are from where you were before when you started on the upper part of the course (holes #1-4). #13 needs some overhead branches cut, but when it beats in, this will be a neat uphill flip up sidearm hole.
-Nice elevated basket on #4. Love the hanging basket on #18 too.
-Playing a quick nine is optional. Two nine hole loops. #1-4, #14-18 for a quick open nine or #5-13 for a wooded nine.

Cons:
-I hate the way that the elevation is incorporated here. Aside from #13 and #18, the elevation here is minimal. Problem. The upper part of the course is like 50-60' above the wooded part of the course. I realize that it'd be hard to design some holes on the hill that separates the upper part from the lower part because of its steepness and its vegetation, but you'll see many other opportunities that may have been missed. Once you get to #16's green, you'll see some sweet elevation change in the woods but it's not used. This is a disc golf course designed like a house. There's a 1st floor and a basement and the fairways are pretty flat. Like every floor plan. #13 takes you from the basement to maybe a third of the way up the stairs to the first floor. #18 takes you to the attic.
There's no big downhill hole that takes you to the "basement". Just a long downhill walk from #4 to #5.
-The beginning is just thoughtless. #1-3 are all wide open shots in the soccer field. #1 is slightly uphill and #2 is a distance showoff. #3 is just half of #2. About 230', wide open. Nothing in sight. #4 is wide open too. Only interesting thing about it is the elevated basket on a mound. #14 and #15 are about as boring. They are in the soccer field but they are open without any character to them.
-#18 is pretty much closed due to construction in the parking lot. I just followed my location on U disc until it said I was a few feet from the tee and just teed off.
-#11's design is downright bad. Barely a fairway that hooks crazy right to left. You'll be playing plinko here because the line to the basket is not a valid line. Discs don't fly like that, unless you throw a 280' roller.

The open part of Nebo is just terrible with the exception of #18. That's the only fun hole at Nebo Crossing.
-They have the tools to make Nebo more interesting. It's like they have an axe and a sharpening stone to chop down a tree but they used a pair of clippers and carved around the tree for four hours and shook it for two. Nebo Crossing is a tree that was carved and shaken. Same with the course down the road at Universal Park. Universal has good elevation but no fairways.
