Pros:
Easy to find and simple to navigate
Nice signs showing direction and distance
Great use of elevation changes and well designed fairways
Secluded feeling even though it's right off the road and by the lake
Forces you to shape many lines both left and right as well as straight
Beautifully wooded course with only one wide open shot really
Cons:
Come prepared for bugs but this year was bad
This park is pretty cool but I guess you could say alternate pin locations and stuff but that's not really a con
All these shots are tight tunnel shots but again, not really a con
Other Thoughts:
What kept going through my mind was that this course felt like Henderson lake's little brother. A lot of the shots in the woods feel very similar bouncing back between back hands and flick shots off the tee making use of a lot of different shots and discs. There are three shots that use mass elevation changes, one open shot and the rest are tightly wooded fairways that require pin point accuracy. This course was fun to play because aspects of the landscape remind me of both Henderson Lake and Whitehall Township which are both really close to this one.
Compared to the courses in the area this course is just average/good and that is not a slight to this course or it's designers in any way. However I'm from Wisconsin so I'm rating this course from an outsider perspective.
