Other Thoughts:
New Ireland Park DGC plays in a small park in the SE part of Redfield, IA. The park has a new concrete path with a "story" to follow with signs along the path. 6 temp baskets have been placed around the park for an OK little course. There is no signage or tees, but I made the western loop end of the path as a first tee. #2, #3, and #6 all have spots near the previous basket that you can tee off the path. #4 and #5, I just teed near the previous basket in the grass. Lengths vary from 235 to 370, so a little more than a pitch n putt. The lines are wide open with a tree line along the right of #1, #2 and #3. #4 sits about 40' from fenced in back yards, so stay left to stay out of those. There is a "rough" area near the #5 basket and along the right of #6, but it wasn't too tall to worry about disc loss. Add some signage, more permanent baskets and tees and you'd have a nice little course. It would be nice to see an opening off the bike trail as well (Racoon River Bike Trail goes right by), throw a couple of discs in a bag on your ride and have a quick round as a pit stop. Overall a reasonable course, would probably play again, if in the area.
