Pros:

Multiple tee location in a clean park.
The middle few holes into the woods and hills are really fun and interesting. They have a little variety and difficulty.

Cons:

The 1st few holes just look to be added as an after thought back towards the parking and entrance. Its odd.

Hard to find 1 (Near Basketball going back towards entrance.)
Hard to find 6 After 5 walk left sorta far.

Other Thoughts:

If more of these were in the woods like the middle this would be a great course. They had the area it looks like.

Also 1 is near Basket ball court.

Markers are small so hard to see #1

Update on NG 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 21, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Not your typical pitch-and-putt 9 hole course. Little bit of everything: wooden, open, flat, hilly, long, short, left, right. 2 teeboxes per hole make playing 18-on-9 a tad bit better.

Cons:

History of abandonment and lack of upkeep. Only 9 holes, a few cheap baskets left.

Other Thoughts:

Disclaimer: I am actively involved with the city on the reinstallation and expansion of this course. I am also spearheading the creation and expansion of the local DG club.

In case your reading comments in order to decide to play I'm writing this as an update on the course as it stands today as well as some of the potential for the future.

Since the earlier comments (pre-2016) the course has been reinstalled and updated. We added second teeboxes to holes with one, reinstalled baskets, markers, and signage, cleared through some of the thicker rough, and are constantly working on improvements.

A new hole #2 was designed and installed and #3 & #4 were modified due to the installation of a splash park by the city in late 2016. We also created a new #9 to replace the previous one that crossed one of the more popular open fields in the park.

Our plan is to expand the course to a full 18 holes this year and ongoing talks with city are leaning towards the possibility of adding another 18 after that. We also started a local club to support play and expansion of the course.

You can find a map and scorecard in the files section of DGCR. If you have any issues please leave feedback so that we can improve the resource.
