Fun & challenging! 2+ years

Pros:

First of all, I agree with everything the previous reviewer wrote.

The park in general was clean and maintained. Grass is mowed and there is plenty to do for families who aren't interested in disc golf. It's clear that the community cares about this area.

With the exception of holes 1,2 and 7-9, each hole offered a unique challenge. There is a creek that comes into play for a couple holes and players have to clear a pond on two of the later holes. The pond throws are only about 200 feet, so it should be manageable for intermediate+ players. They're memorable holes.

The equipment is under construction. The current tees are dirt and the tee signs have minimal information, only hole # and distance. It does appear to me that there will soon be concrete tees and tee signs that are a little more elaborate.

It's a super fun round, especially given it's in a public park. The water that comes into play makes it much more challenging than your average park disc golf course.

I felt the course flowed pretty well and there was a never a question of where the next tee would be. There is a big course sign at the beginning that you can review, but it shouldn't be necessary.

Cons:

- The vast majority of holes play within striking distance of the path that snakes through the park. I think that, with few exceptions, every hole has the potential to cross the path.

- Holes 1,2, and 7-10 are pretty boring. They're flat without obstacles for 300ish feet. Given how great some of the other holes are, these felt out of place, especially since there are four in a row that just play back and forth across an open field.

- Due to the water hazards (creek early on and then the pond in the 2nd half) and the thick rough in certain areas in the back 9, there's a risk of losing a disc, which is never fun.

Other Thoughts:

All in all, my trip from Madison to check/update/bag this course was a success. My brother and I had a great time and would recommend checking it out if you are so inclined. Pictures are uploaded for you to check out.

I would advise coming during non-peak hours though, since foot traffic can make your round a little longer as you wait for people to walk on by.
