READY SET GO!!!! GOT TO MAKE EM" ALL

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jan 27, 2024 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Start and finish at the Colorful statue, use two discs and time yourself as you play all 6 holes add 10 seconds for each stroke taken to your time. Beat 7:30 seconds and your are my hero, cause you are related to Usain Bolt.

Cons:

Don't start until the course is clear or give your playing partner a one hole lead and try to catch him like Crash Drill in Basketball.

Other Thoughts:

This game is a blast but you have to follow all PDGA rules no foot faults inside the circle.

Perfect 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 26, 2020 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Perfect learn to play course. Literally perfect. I take my 3 year old son to play here at least once a week. I love the idea of this course. If you want to learn to play the game of disc golf this is where you go.

Cons:

It's not a traditional disc golf course.

Other Thoughts:

If you go to this course thinking it's anything other than a warm up pitch and putt or a track specifically designed to help beginners learn the game of disc golf you will be disappointed.

If you have young children or someone new to the game this is the best place in the entire greater Pittsburgh area to take them for the first time.

With all the amazing courses we have in the area this is the ideal tool to introduce someone new to the game.

Love it

1st of its kind. 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 24, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Beginner friendly
-Nice tee signs
-Great artificial turf tee pads
-Well maintained
-Discatcher28 baskets

Cons:

None other than its location compared to the start of the other course on the property. You can park here upon arrival to warmup if that's your intention but will want to drive if planning to play the other 18.

Other Thoughts:

It's hard to rate this properly. It's the first of its kind that I know of on a course so I feel that you have to rate it accordingly based on that knowledge. It is meant for easy ADA accessibility and for beginner players alike. It can also be used as a warmup course before playing its huge older brother. It serves the purpose it was installed for and I think its a great addition to the DG scene.

Nice place for beginners, which North Boundary Main course is not. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 21, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice tee signs.

Nice artificial turf tee pads.

Nice disc catcher baskets.

All the baskets are clearly marked A-F.

Nice warm up holes before playing the main course.

Ace run on most baskets.

Portable restroom nearby.

Cons:

There are not really any cons, if you accept this course for what it is: a beginner course or an expanded practice basket area. The problem with calling it a practice basket area is the location since it is not near basket one of the main course.

Other Thoughts:

Do 6 baskets qualify as a disc golf course? As the DGCR legend (The Valkyrie Kid) once said, If DGCR calls it a course then it's a course and that's settled. I know it's risky to rate any course a 1.5 when the only other reviewer gave it a 4.0 but I gotta do it even though at least one reader will not be happy with that.

Perfect for my 8 year old boys to have a blast on. 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 17, 2019 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Brand new baskets
Nice level big tee pads
Top notch tee signs
perfectly laid out for beginners and young players
gravel paths down the fairways and to each tee box

Cons:

No cons, it serves it's purpose for existence perfectly.

Other Thoughts:

Located at the parking lot of the Championship Level Course in North Boundary. I took my 8 year old twin boys here to play. We played 2 rounds and had a blast!! You can play the whole course with a putter and mid for the par 4.

Hole A. Par 3 Short straight shot at the basket.

Hole B. Par 3 A little longer than hole 1, but still straight shot at the basket.

Hole C. Par 3 Similar to hole B. Straight shot at the basket.

Hole D. Par 4 Longer hole with small pine trees to navigate around and a slight dog leg left.

Hole E. Par 3 Longer than the first three par 3s. Basket and fairway on a slight grade.

Hole F. Almost the same exact hole as E.
